West Basin Project

We are enjoying working with Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) on the West Basin project, located at the former Bee Bus Line site on N. 35th Street! The project team has created a new design for the Basin based on the previous round of community feedback in March 2022, where residents chose their favorite of three design ideas. The top two ideas were the "Gathering-Focused" and "Play-Focused" design concepts, closely followed by "Nature-Focused" design.

Click HERE to take the latest survey and help the project team decide what kinds of amenities should be included in the plans for the Basin as we get into the finer details. We're eager to hear from neighbors and stakeholders to make sure the final design is a safe and welcoming green space that families and people of all ages can enjoy for years to come. Make sure to take the survey by August 31st, 2022!

The West Basin project will help reduce flooding in the 30th Street Corridor and add needed green space in the neighborhood. To read more about the project on MMSD’s website click HERE.
