WaterMarks Walk: The impact of water & nature on mental health and child development

  • Bee Bus Sign 4350 North 35th Street Milwaukee, WI, 53216 United States (map)

As part of the WaterMarks art project community engagement process, NWSCDC is working with environmental experts and a local artist to lead neighborhood walks near MMSD's West Basin property. This will help guide the art-making process and help educate people about the importance of water and nature in our daily lives.

Walk Topic: The impact of water & nature on mental health and child development

Walk Description: Join walk leaders, Anna Rose Menako and Shalina S. Ali as we dive into how water and nature can impact our lives, especially as children grow and develop.

Join us for a relaxed Saturday stroll full of healing and creativity. Experience a guided meditation, group nature walk, photography exercise, and creative conversation. After walking, participants will have a chance to draw and give creative input for the new public art installation. The guided meditation will start promptly at 11:00am. Come early at 10:45am to enjoy snacks and hot cocoa before we start!

Suggested Attire: Tennis shoes and anything comfortable to hike or exercise in.

RSVP HERE. Walk-ups also welcome. The walk is free to participate in and open to all ages!
