Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival

When: November 19 – January 3
What: festive light displays downtown
Where: Downtown parks

A Grand Avenue Christmas at the Pabst Mansion

Slice of Ice – Skating at Red Arrow Park

What: a Milwaukee winter tradition

Cost: $6 for skate rental, free with your own skates

What: Enjoy a holiday meal at the zoo! Santa and Mrs. Claus will also have a special gift for each child.
When: 9a.m. Saturdays, 9a.m. and noon Sundays December 5 & 6, 12 & 13, 19 & 20
How much: $13 per child or adult; $5 children 2 and under

Gather the kids for an afternoon of free craft-making and jolly entertainment with Santa, and Leonard Bearstein and his 18-piece orchestra of bears.

Candy Cane Lane

Visitors can drive or stroll through the neighborhood from 6-10 p.m. weekdays and from 5-10 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays from November 27 – December 28, 2009. There is no charge to visit Candy Cane Lane, but those that wish to can give neighbors a donation that will benefit the MACC Fund.

Jingle Bus Tour

Tour downtown’s lights through the ease and comfort of the Jingle Bus.  $1 per person, this 40-minute tour acquaints riders with  downtown landmarks and all the festive scenes.

November 20, 2009 – January 3, 2010
Thursdays – Sundays – 6 to 9 pm (last bus departs at 8:20 pm)

Christmas Feast For Everyone

The Feast will take place on Christmas Day, Friday, December 25th from 11am to 2:30pm at the Midwest Airlines Center, 400 W. Wisconsin Ave.

SHARE Wisconsin Offering Christmas Dinners

This weekend you can get a full Christmas dinner for $25.

This program is a nonprofit food buying group open to all families regardless of income.

Christmas Dinner Packages come with all the fixings to cook a meal for six.

The Christmas Dinner Package includes:

6 lb. Boneless Honey Ham • Canned Pineapple • Gelatin Ring Mold • Fixings For Chocolate Cake With Dark Sweet Cherries • Fresh Produce Assortment With Potatoes • Broccoli • Carrots • Apples • Oranges •Ham_small

Metro Milwaukee residents can purchase one for their family or for a family in need.
